About the Project
The complete renovation of this historic detached house focused on reconciling the architectural heritage of the 20th century with contemporary residential design. The project involved a thorough functional reorganisation of all interior spaces, combining the nobility of classic materials such as Estremoz marble with modern, elegant and sophisticated touches. The new layout features fluid living areas, an imposing foyer and the inclusion of a spa area with a Turkish bath, raising the standard of comfort in the house.
Key Challenges
The main challenge lay in the rigorous preservation of the exterior and in maintaining the identity of the original design by architect Raul Lino. The intervention required invisible structural solutions to integrate modern air-conditioning requirements and a spa area with a Turkish bath, without detracting from the 20th-century heritage.
