About the Project
The Honest Greens outlet in Porto was the chain’s first project carried out by Huître outside Lisbon – and the first trial of a restaurant model designed to accommodate more than 100 customers at once. The space embodies the brand’s visual identity through earthy tones, natural wood and organic finishes, creating an atmosphere of well-being that contrasts with the technical intensity of what goes on in the kitchen. The location in the heart of Porto’s historic centre presented additional logistical challenges, which the Huître team resolved through meticulous planning.
Key Challenges
The main technical challenge was to reconcile the specialised installations of a high-performance industrial kitchen – extraction, high-flow ventilation, gas, refrigeration – with delicate finishes and a rustic aesthetic that does not tolerate exposed infrastructure. The work took place in a restricted historic zone, with limited time slots for the transport of materials and access to the site.
