About the Project
Maison Luce at Amoreiras Plaza is a fit-out project that required Huître to bring to life a very specific identity – that of an authentic French boulangerie and pâtisserie – while incorporating all the technical infrastructure needed for a high-volume commercial operation. The space balances the brand’s aesthetic sophistication with the functionality required for intensive daily production and sales: optimised customer flow, product display integrated into the design, and finishes that withstand the wear and tear of a high-traffic space.
Key Challenges
The central challenge was to integrate the heavy infrastructure of a patisserie – ventilation and oven extraction systems, cold rooms, steam generation, high-power electrical installations – without compromising the delicate aesthetics of the interior concept. The location within a shopping centre necessitated night-time construction hours and strict access restrictions, with a fixed opening date.
